The Journey

As I write the story of the 1862 summer campaign of the 10th Kentucky Partisan Rangers in western Kentucky, and edit the diary of John F. Locke, I will be progressing through projects that I have never attempted before.  Not only will this journey be a story in and of itself, but it will be a juggling act that I will have to master.  On top of these writing pieces, I am also a husband to an amazing wife, father to a three year old and newborn boys who bring more joy than I could ever imagine, and an 8th grade US History teacher to some pretty cool kids.

My goal is to have one of these finished by 2020, and I believe that is an attainable goal.  It leaves me about three months, and in that time I should be able to complete the necessary research and send the manuscript to a respectable publisher.  If you ever have questions or comments about these projects, I would love to hear from you!

There is history that needs to be remembered.

Lost and forgotten.  Too many stories from our past have collected dust on bookshelves, or have been left behind with previous generations.  Join me as I piece together the tales about the 1862 Western Kentucky Summer Campaign in Laid Low in the Dust, and John Locke of the 14th Tennessee.
